Leadership Pflugerville is a professional development and education program designed to help current and emerging leaders understand the dynamics of the community and the role leadership plays in its long-term success. It seeks to inform participants about Pflugerville’s history, government, economy, social issues, needs and opportunities. The program will foster dialogue among participants and current leaders of Pflugerville and encourage participants to actively engage in activities, which contribute to the betterment of the community. Leadership Pflugerville is dedicated to the development of a network of life-long community servant leaders for the benefit of the Pflugerville area and the chamber’s member organizations.
The goal of Leadership Pflugerville is to improve the quality of life in our region by identifying a pipeline of future leaders, educate participants about issues important to our area, connect participants to their classmates and other highly motivated individuals in the community, and inspire these leaders to apply what they learn through the program to create positive change.

In addition, the program participant will be required to attend a city council meeting and a school board meeting. If the program participant fails to meet these obligations, he or she will be asked to withdraw from the program and the tuition is non-refundable. Both the Leadership Pflugerville applicant and their sponsoring organization must commit to ensuring the applicant can fulfill the requirements of the program.
Be engaged and make the most of this experience. This program offers an opportunity for leadership training and connecting with the community in a way that you wouldn’t experience on your own. Ask questions, give feedback, and take what you learn out into your everyday life.
Attendance at 6 (six) day long programs is expected. Promptness is important for the program days to start and end on time and to be respectful of others’ time. If you are 1 (one) hour late to a session it will count as a ½-day absence. Leaving a session early will also count as a ½-day absence. During the program sessions the participant’s cell phones or other electronic communication devices will be set to a silent mode.
